Photography:

noun

“pho·tog·ra·phy | \ fə-ˈtä-grə-fē

: the art or process of producing images by the action of radiant energy and especially light on a sensitive surface (such as film or an optical sensor)”

At the age of 17, what first inspired me about photography was experimenting with my father’s Minolta film camera. I eventually honed my skills capturing anything and everything in my visual path.

Today, capturing a moment in time of a person or newlywed couple always fascinates me. Looking back at those images, I always wonder what they were thinking at that moment I clicked the shutter.

Born and raised in New England, I bring over 20 years of experience capturing weddings, portraits, and events on the South Shore of Massachusetts and beyond.

Whether I’m making images during a wedding or capturing a portrait, I pride myself on creating those moments evoking memories that will last a lifetime. Honest and sincere, my photographic style can best be described as photo journalistic with a touch of contemporary lifestyle.

Aside from wedding and portraiture, I have worked for law firms, musicians and sports leagues. Making fine art land and seascape images always  seems to satisfy my creativity when I’m just on my own time.

For your next special occasion, I hope you will consider my work as a medium to capture your special memories.

Cheers,

Marc Ricard
